What is the building capacity?
140 including the bridal party in the banquet room.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes, $200 for active and retired military.
Is there a deposit? When are the additional payments due?
Yes, we require a $1000 dollar non-refundable security deposit with a signed contract. Final payments are due within 60 days of the event.
How do I reserve a date?
A non-refundable check for $1000 will secure your date.
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
We have visits by appointment only. See our tour page.
What is the average budget of a couple getting married at CountyLine Venue?
Many of our couples fall within the $5,000 to $15,000 dollar range. Many may have a somewhat higher budget.
What time does the music need to end?
We have a shut down time of 10:00 PM with an additional hour for decoration removal and clean-up if needed.
Do we have to utilize your preferred caterers and bar service?
We have a list of local professional caterers, but you may use another approved professional caterer.
What is your policy on alcohol service?
We require our clients to obtain an online banquet license at www.abc.virginia.gov.
Any liquor must be served by a licensed and insured bartender.
Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
CountyLine has on-site lodging at our Farmhouse as well as RV hookups at the venue. We have special block rates available at selected hotels in nearby Farmville.
Is it possible to have transportation from local hotels?
We can assist you in arranging affordable van and/or bus transportation to and from the event.
What can we expect when decorating for our event?
We have ample space both inside and outdoors to decorate. Some parties enjoy large amounts of decorating while others like it just the way it is! We will assist you in what can and cannot be done in the way of putting up decorations. Only our staff will be allowed on ladders. Decorations may be removed and taken away the night of the event, or picked up the following morning.
Is your venue handicap friendly?
Absolutely. We reserve special parking and drop off access for those needing it. Our venue buildings are ground level with a large handicap restroom.
Do you allow sparklers and other items?
No, we do not allow sparklers as they have been shown to be a danger to both the guest and the venue. We do not allow synthetic flower petals or other materials that are not readily biodegradable.
Do you provide table linens?
We do not supply linens, but we can help you arrange for them to be supplied. CounyLine does have a limited amount of white linens that can be used in a “pinch”.
What happens in case of rain?
We have a comfortable indoor ceremony plan that allows for your ceremony to occur while still enjoying the wonderful views of the vineyard and grounds.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our reception at Countyline Venue. Does your fee change?
We give a discount for reception only if it can be treated as a single day event and it will be priced accordingly. See our pricing page.
Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?
We fully appreciate the value of pets as service dogs and as part of the family. This question though can only be answered in close coordination with the bridal party.
What form of payment does CountyLine accept?
We accept personal checks.
May we use outside rental companies for certain items?
Yes, they may be used but it is important that vendors coordinate their actions with CountyLine staff.
What is the venue clean up policy?
Our staff and the professional catering staff will handle all clean up and trash removal.
What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

How is the handling of set up done?
We can set up for you in advance of the event, but if changes need to occur we may need to ask for minor assistance to make sure the event runs smooth and timely.
Does CountyLine have an onsite officiant?
Yes! We now have a Virginia licensed officiant. Ask about pricing and details when you come for your tour.
